Synopsis

The main character, Landon Carter, remembers his last year at his high school, Beaufort High. He's a Christian who used to not like being very religious. A girl at his school, Jamie Sullivan, was the daughter of Reverend Sullivan, the Baptist Minister of the town. Jamie always carried around her Bible and was recognized by all the moms on the street to be an angel. She rescued animals off the street and did lots of volunteering at a nearby orphanage. No one would even think of dating Jamie. When the homecoming dance came, Landon couldn't find a girl to take, he was stuck with . . . guess who . . . Jamie. Landon wouldn't be the same after that. Jamie had taught him so much. In the end, he makes a breathtaking choice that would lead him to see life in a different way.

My rating

This book had plot twists like no other! Nicholas Sparks really knows how to get those tears running! I will say, though, the start of the book seemed very boring and mundane to me, causing me to put off this book for a while. If you are planning to read this book, know that it starts off a bit bland by gets exciting and teary and the end. All in all, I give this book a 4.5 Stars!
